What you can do now: Where to Get Involved

Below is a list of allied organizations working for reproductive freedom whose visionary work was discussed in Controlling Women or who worked tirelessly behind the scenes or in coalition to advance gender equity.  There are many more organizations, particularly grass roots and local ones, not included here that are working hard to preserve reproductive rights and justice.

 If you’re pregnant and considering an abortion, and need help, the National Network of Abortion Funds or the Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP) may be able to help you with funding. For information on abortion, contact the National Abortion Federation hotline, Planned Parenthood in your state or the Abortion Care Network.
